Minister Karen Denise Spencer was born October 18, 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was baptized in the name of Jesus and received the Holy Ghost on August 15, 2003 under the pastorate of the late Bishop James A. Johnson, D.D. at Bethesda Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith in St. Louis Missouri. Minister Spencer is the fourth generation of Apostolic Faith and third generation attending Bethesda Temple Church.

Minister Spencer is the author of the book, “And God Said Just Walk”. It is her story of how God healed her after twenty-one years of sickness and seven incurable diseases. Her book has been on the Essence Magazine Top Ten Best Sellers List of Non-Fiction Books for the months of March, April, and May of 2009. She is also a National Conference Speaker and an encouragement to all who meet her. Her book is now in Hollywood, CA being shopped by movie producers who are interested in making this awesome true story into a major movie production.

Minister Spencer has struggled with devastating illnesses for much of her adult life. After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and seven other diseases, many would have lost hope. Instead, She turned to God. She is the founder of Just Walk Ministry. It is a Teaching and Healing Ministry in which God uses her as a vessel to heal many people of sickness and disease. Minister Spencer travels around the country teaching Christians how to develop and strengthen their trust and faith in Jesus Christ and be Saved. Minister Spencer has partnered with Forgiven and Free Ministry for the past eight years under the leadership of Pastors Larry and Fay Gilson from St. Louis, Mo. It is a Cleansing Ministry where many people come who are broken and hurt by sin and after ten weeks of work, followed by a retreat, we see many people DELIVERED AND FREE!

Minister Spencer has been seen on the International Church Station TCT where she has appeared on the television show TCT Alive as well as the International Church Station CTN where she has appeared on the Today’s Woman in Christ Show. She has been on TBN PTL Show sharing and encouraging many people with her awesome testimonies of God’s miraculous healing power. Minister Spencer has been on several radio programs professing the goodness of Jesus and she has been written up several times in the Christian Outlook International Magazine as well as the LA Focus Magazine.

Minister Spencer has taken classes at the Massachusetts General Hospital Academy specializing in PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury. This has been very helpful to her while working with men and women who have served our country. In her spare time, she enjoys playing trivia games and singing.
